"The Hare's speed is the key to winning. So, I decided to write my own version"

HASSELT—Formula 1 superstar Max Verstappen has shared a creative endeavor that few would associate with a professional race car driver. Verstappen disclosed that he authored a children's book that reimagines the classic tale of 'The Tortoise and the Hare,' but with a twist - in his version, the Hare always comes out victorious.

Verstappen, known for his daredevil driving and fierce competition on the racetrack, unveiled the project during a recent interview. "I've always loved the story of 'The Tortoise and the Hare,' but it was wrong. The Hare's speed is the key to winning. So, I decided to write my own version," he explained.

The book, which takes the traditional fable and gives it a Dutch twist, explores themes of resilience, strategy, and the importance of the fastest person always being the absolute best and winning everything all the time. Verstappen's unique perspective as a racing champion shines through in the narrative, offering readers a fresh and unexpected take on a timeless tale.

Verstappen's book has already garnered attention from fans and fellow drivers alike. Lewis Hamilton, Verstappen's long-time rival, commented on the project, saying, "It's fascinating to see Max's creative side. I like it cause I'm definitely the hare. He's just a turtle with a better car."

The publication of Max Verstappen's unconventional take on 'The Tortoise and the Hare' promises to be an intriguing addition to the world of literature, blending the thrill of Formula 1 with the enduring appeal of a classic fable. It showcases Verstappen's versatility as an athlete and storyteller, leaving fans eager to see where his talents will take him next.
