Ferrari Complains: RB20's Have an Unfair Aerodynamic Advantage Because Red Bull Gives Them Wings
January 11, 2024

"What wings? I don't see any wings…"

MARANELLO—Ferrari has voiced concerns over the aerodynamic prowess of Red Bull Racing's RB20, claiming that the team's secret weapon lies not under the hood but in the form of actual wings. According to Ferrari insiders, the complaint suggests that Red Bull Racing gains an unfair edge because of the aerodynamic advantage the wings offer.

The crux of Ferrari's complaint revolves around the distinctive wings affixed to Red Bull Racing's RB20, which, according to the Italian powerhouse, provide an undisclosed aerodynamic boost. While the FIA regulations scrutinize every aspect of Formula 1 car design to ensure fair competition, Ferrari's eyebrow-raising complaint raises the question: should everyone have wings?

Ferrari Team Principal remarked on the situation, saying, "In the pursuit of speed, Formula 1 teams explore every avenue for innovation. While we respect Red Bull's commitment to pushing boundaries, we believe it's crucial for the sport to maintain a level playing field. Our concern is not with the wings per se, but… ok yeah it's the wings. I mean they have Verstappen. They don't need more help."

Responding to Ferrari's claims, Christian Horner, Team Principal of Red Bull Racing, quipped, "What wings? I don't see any wings…" As He slowly sipped on his can of Red Bull while locking eyes with the Ferrari chief.

As the FIA investigates the matter, the Formula 1 community awaits the resolution of this intriguing complaint and the prospect of an F1 cars that flies.
