"This isn't that track but it's a tribute to that track."

BUTTONWILLOW, CA—The much-anticipated expansion of Buttonwillow Raceway has left local track enthusiasts in awe—especially after the circuit’s owners delivered his review.

“This is the greatest track in the world,” A spokesperson for Cal Club announced at the ribbon-cutting ceremony. “Tribute.”

The revelation stunned the audience and then confused them. But the Cal Club spokesperson remained adamant, explaining that they were challenged to build the greatest track in the world or lose it all together, so they built the first thing that came to their heads and it just so happen to be the greatest track in the world.

“I was out here one night, just staring at the empty land, when a demon showed up demanding I build the greatest track in the world,” One owner said. “We did it and fast. This isn't that track but it's a tribute to that track.”

Longtime Buttonwillow veteran Raul Sánchez, still sweaty from his first session on the new layout, was confused which track is actually the greatest track in the world. “I don’t care if this is just a tribute—but where did the other track go? I need to find whatever the owner saw that night.”

However, some critics remain skeptical. “He made a tribute to the greatest track and it's not the same layout? That’s convenient,” said amateur racer Diego Ortiz. “Sounds like he just repaved some sections, moved a few cones around, and called it a day.”

Despite the mystery surrounding the “greatest track,” The owner remains unapologetic. “This is just a tribute,” he repeated. “But maybe, if you hit every apex perfectly… you’ll catch a glimpse of the real thing.”
